Indexes API provides specific KPIs relative to a {Location}, briefly described below.

Popularity

Popularity expresses, in an unlimited positive range [0,∞[, a quantitative and qualitative metric based on the number of POIs, their digital traces and Sentiment, where:

  • 0: indicates the lowest degree of popularity.
  • 100: indicates the de facto maximum degree of popularity.
  • > 100: indicates a popularity level which exceeds the de facto maximum degree.

Seasonal Peak

Seasonal Peak expresses, in an unlimited positive range [0,∞[, a quantitative metric of contents compared to the correspondent historical seasonal peak, where:

  • 0: indicates the absence of contents in the selected period.
  • 100: indicates the same number of contents in the selected period compared to the correspondent historical seasonal peak.
  • > 100: indicates a higher number of contents in the selected period compared to the correspondent historical seasonal peak.

Sustainability

Sustainability Index

Sustainability Index expresses, in the range [0,100], a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of sustainability efforts, where:

  • 0: indicates the worst evaluation of sustainability performance.
  • 100: indicates the best evaluation of sustainability performance.

Destination Management Pillar

Destination Management Pillar evaluates, in the range [0,100], the perception, confidence and success, where:

  • 0: indicates the lowest degree of perception, confidence, and success.
  • 100: indicates the maximum degree of perception, confidence, and success.

Sentiment Index

Sentiment Index evaluates, in the range [0,100], the level of satisfaction expressed online by users, where:

  • 0: indicates the lowest degree of satisfaction.
  • 100: indicates the maximum degree of satisfaction.
Travel Barometer Index

Travel Barometer Index evaluates, in the range [0,100], the well-being of the tourism industry, where:

  • 0: indicates the lowest degree of well-being of the tourism industry.
  • 100: indicates the maximum degree of well-being of the tourism industry.
Seasonal Balance Index

Seasonal Balance Index expresses, in the range [0,100], a quantitative degree of contents variation between different periods of the year, where:

  • 0: indicates the minimum seasonality balance, therefore the maximum variation of contents between different periods of the year.
  • 100: indicates the maximum seasonality balance, therefore the minimum variation of contents between different periods of the year.

Tourism Supply Pressure Index

Tourism Supply Pressure Index evaluates, in the range [0,100], the impact of tourism offer on the host community, where:
